Cambodia Slum Ministry
Cambodia Slum Ministry is a ministry that was founded by Suchada Nantavong and Beoun San in 2013. This married couple, along with their son, has dedicated themselves to serving the people in the slums of Phomn Phen. Suchada, growing up in the slums herself, found that God called her back into the slums and has been working with about 100 children since 2012. Boeun has worked with the same community since 2006, even after the government relocated them to a new site. Together they have loved the community like Jesus did through teaching, sharing and providing for the needs of others. Currently, CSM provides a free preschool to the community, which has 18 students. During the evenings, they hold 4 English classes to teach youths ranging from 7-18 years old. Recently, they also added a computer and music class.
re:ACTS continues to partner with this ministry because they have a heart for children and our vision is aligned with theirs. We both seek to spread the gospel and demonstrate God’s love as they love their neighbors and build their community.
