What a day it has been! Like any other great college student I also procrastinate. An hour or two of sleep is what I deserve and that’s what I got, hahaha. So all in all, my morning was pretty bad. I woke up, showered, ironed my clothes, burnt my hand, stepped on/broke my glasses, and left for school with a crying stomach. My day could not go any worse, but then received a text from a mentor of mine. She writes that she wishes us a great day and that she will be praying for her students. This is the turning point of my day. Not sure if it was because I missed them or because my mind was wandering from hunger, but I started to think about the summer mission trip to Khaodee/Cambodia. One of the goals that I had for myself going into the mission trip was to keep a positive mind set. To do everything with a smile, because the work that I do is not for me, it is for God. And why stop after the mission trip? Why not come back home and have the same mentality?
After all that I came back home and prayed for the children of Southeast Asia and the people that I had met during our mission trip. Also prayed for the new Reacts ministry children’s home I’m super excited for! I know that God is and will do great things for us. And I thank God for all the obstacles he challenges me with to help me realize all the great things I have. Although this was only one day of fasting, I feel as I have experienced/learned multiple lessons that I would have had in a month’s time. Remember to keep positive throughout your day and you will realize the blessing surrounding you. =))
