What to say about Babybox? It was both joyful and heart breaking. I’ve heard of this ministry and what it was all about, but to see the actual building, the box, and the children, I couldn’t help but feel a strong burden to pray for them. The Pastor was so hospitable and said he was very blessed by this “army of prayer warriors and angels.”

We went to the new plot of land and prayed over it. The plan for this site is to house single mothers and their babies, to house children with severe disabilities, and a have a rehabilitation & educational center. In the 100° heat, we stood on the land and prayed aloud that God would continue His work and bring the vision to completion. As we prayed two big gusts of cool wind engulfed us and I remember thinking: God is here. He is Emmanuel and He is with His people.

The last stop of that day was to the 7-story building Babybox moved into in July. We all pitched in to clean their worship hall for service the next day. As the day closed my heart sank for these children. In the past 5 years, 526 babies have gone through Babybox. But that means 526 babies were saved! And of those, 130 mothers have reclaimed their children. As unfortunate the circumstances may be for these babies, it could be so much worse. I was reminded that God is still present here. He is in Korea and will not leave His children alone. He is with the Pastor, with the staff, this ministry and especially with the children.
